International Orders

Although I am pleased to accept orders from outside the U.S. via e-mail, my online shopping cart will not process orders from outside the U.S. I've noted this on my home page -- but a lot of folks seem to miss it.

The primary reason I cannot make my shopping cart automatically process orders from outside the U.S. is the fact that it is illegal for anyone to export any watch straps from the U.S. that are made with exotic leathers such as Alligator, Crocodile, Lizard, Ostrich, Buffalo, Shark - without a special permit. Obtaining that permit that takes as long as 6 months to obtain and costs about $150 for 1 watchstrap or 1000.

Special considerations

Among those are your country's Customs Duties and Regulations -- and I do have to affix a Customs Label showing the contents of the package and their value.

Just as important is the fact that there is no cost effective way to insure low cost items.

Minimum order

I can only accept orders from outside the U.S. where the value of the items ordered total

at least $US 34.95

Shipping

I can ship via Air Post (takes 4 to 7 days - usually) to you without insurance to a few countries -- if you're willing to accept the risk - I haven't lost a package in the mails yet - but there is always a first time.

That would cost @ $ 5.00 depending on the weight of your order. There is no insurance available for regular Air Post.

A package can be sent via Registered Mail would cost @$15.00 depending on the weight of the package. Registered Mail is the most secure way of sending mail - it also can take up to two weeks or more for delivery since everyone handling the package has to sign for it and "register" it in a logbook. But Registered Mail no longer includes insurance to many countries.

I have not included Express Mail Service and Global Priority Mail in these options because no insurance is available to most countries with those services.

Shipping address

To help ensure your order gets to you, and gets to you as quickly as possible, I must have your address EXACTLY as it should be printed on the package being shipped to you. U.S. and some foreign adresses are in quite different formats, and I am not able to guess which is the correct address format for your country.

I suggest you send me an e-mail with your name and referring to your order with you EXACT shipping address in addition to the regular order noticication I receive from PayPal.

PayPal seems to have some inconsistancies in formating shipping addresses from outside the U.S.

Payment via PayPal only

I can only accept payment via PayPal from customers with verified PayPal accounts for orders from outside the U.S. I cannot accept any other forms of payment.
