the above photograph shows the back of the Diamond Rubber Dive Strap with the scored sections for adjusting the length of the strap and the deployant.

To adjust the length of the strap remove the strap from the deployant clasp - it's attached with springbars.

Then simply cut off a section or sections of the strap where it's scored on the back. I used an Exacto knife. Replace the springbars in the strap and re-install the deployant. You might have to do a little trimming on the end of the strap where it fits to the deployant. Again, I'd recommend an Exacto knife. I'd never done it before and I was impressed how simple it was. Even I could do it. :-)

You can see in the photo below the maximum and minimum lengths of this strap - from 7 3/4" down to 5 1/2"
